Color analysis quiz › Changelog
Changes are listed newest first. Each entry says what changed and why; dates are ISO. The about page explains who maintains the site, and corrections records fixes to claims rather than to features.
Added about, methodology, changelog, corrections, contact and how the test works. Every content page now carries a "Last verified" line dated 2026-11-02, naming the source that supports the page and linking to the correction route, and the footer links to all six pages. Why: a reader should be able to see who maintains the site, what the scoring does and where to report an error without leaving the page they are on.
Removed the word "Free" from the homepage title and from the pricing page title and H1. Body copy, including the price comparison itself, is unchanged. Why: the site's title/H1 rule bans promotional words that a page cannot guarantee for every reader, and the page copy already states which parts cost nothing.
Added the detail block to the Soft Autumn and Soft Summer result pages — makeup table, metals, the colours the palette leaves out, outfit formulas, two misreads and the neighbour comparison. Why: the other ten result pages already had a unique block, and these two were still only the shared template.
Added one unique 504–532 word block to ten of the 12 result pages: eight named unbranded makeup shades, metal and finish guidance, three avoid colours with hex codes and a reason, three neutral-plus-accent-plus-metal formulas, two misjudgements with a physical check, and a confusion paragraph. Why: the shared result template alone was thin, and a palette with no guidance is hard to use.
At 600 px the header no longer wraps: the nav links stay inside the 58 px bar. Why: three links plus the wordmark overflowed on small phones.
Published /science (six claims sorted by what the evidence supports, the 12-question arithmetic and 13 linked sources each marked "Checked 2026-10-30"), /pricing (row-by-row comparison of the quiz and the two one-time reports) and /seasons (the 4×3 grid, name translation and 12 boundary pairs). Why: the evidence, the prices and the season names were only in the quiz FAQ, where they could not be linked or checked.
The signup form and its endpoint were removed and now answer 404; the Durable Object export was kept on purpose, because removing the class needs a delete migration that destroys the stored rows. Why: a launch list that collected addresses before the quiz shipped implied a product that did not exist yet.
The 12-question quiz, the server-rendered result page for each of the 12 seasons, the photo light check, sitemap entries for every result page, and the test that enumerates all 944,784 answer combinations. Why: the site needed a working tool, not a waitlist.
Before this list, the repository's changelog lived in CHANGES.md; entries from 2026-10-27 and 2026-10-30 are taken from it and from the dated update note in the repository's own documentation. Nothing was reconstructed from memory.
