About Season Color Test

Season Color Test is an independent educational site about seasonal colour analysis. It exists to give a clear, honest answer to a simple question — which colours are likely to suit you — without pretending the answer is more certain than it is.

What this site is

A free 12-question quiz that scores undertone, value and chroma and returns one of 12 seasons, with both neighbouring seasons.
An optional selfie check that samples three points in your browser, explains the scores and shows a runner-up.
Plain-language guides to all 12 seasons, their palettes, makeup, hair and metals.
Two one-time reports: a $9.99 Pro report and a $9.90 16-season report.

What this site is not

It is not a medical, dermatological or diagnostic service.
It is not a substitute for in-person draping, and it does not claim to be.
It is not affiliated with Colorwise.me, Dressika, House of Colour, Color Me Beautiful, Truth is Beauty, 12 Blueprints or any other brand named on the site.
It does not sell cosmetics. As of 2026-11-01, no brand has paid for a recommendation on this site.

How the site is funded

The site is funded by the two one-time reports. No affiliate links or display ads appear on the pages audited on 2026-11-01. Any future advertising or affiliate link will be disclosed on this page and on the page where it appears. That matters for the advice: if the site made money from selling you a lipstick, the recommendation would have a conflict. It does not.

Editorial standards

Every factual claim about colour science should have a source and a date. Where the evidence is thin — and for the 12-season taxonomy it is thin — the page says so. We distinguish three things that are often mixed together: established colour science (Lab, Munsell), a commercial convention (the 12 season names), and a measurement (what this site’s photo check actually computes).

We do not invent testimonials, customer counts, accuracy percentages or expert credentials. If a page says “reviewed”, it means a named person reviewed it; if no person is named, the page was checked by the site’s editor against the sources listed on it. Our full rules are on the editorial policy page.
