Color Analysis Results: How to Read Your Season
Your color analysis results rest on three dimensions: undertone, value and chroma. Together they place you in one of 12 seasons. This page explains what each part of your result means, how to use the palette on your result page, and what the $4.99 Pro report adds when you want the full wardrobe system.

The three dimensions behind your season
Every result on seasoncolortest.com comes from scoring three dimensions and mapping the combination to a single season. Read each one separately before you read the season name.
- Undertone (warm or cool): the base cast of your skin, which decides whether warm or cool colors sit in harmony with you.
- Value (light or deep): how light or deep your natural coloring runs, which sets how much contrast your palette carries.
- Chroma (bright or muted): how clear or softened your coloring reads, which decides whether saturated or dusty colors belong on you.
The three scores combine into one of 12 seasons: Light Spring, True Spring, Bright Spring, Light Summer, True Summer, Soft Summer, Soft Autumn, True Autumn, Deep Autumn, Deep Winter, True Winter and Bright Winter.
How to read your result page
Your result page is built to be used, not admired. Each section answers a specific shopping question.
| Section | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Season palette | 8 colors plus 4 neutrals that form your core wardrobe |
| Colors to avoid | The shades that fight your undertone, value or chroma |
| Makeup notes | Shades matched to your season for face and lips |
| Hair notes | Hair tones that hold with your coloring |
| Clothing notes | How to build outfits from the palette |
| Neighbouring seasons | The two seasons beside yours, for colors that sit close to your range |
Start with the palette and the colors to avoid. Those two lists cover most purchase decisions. The neighbouring seasons give you room to move when a shade you love sits one step outside your core range.
Getting a result worth reading
The analysis reads the input you give it, so the input decides the quality of the result. Two routes lead in: upload one daylight selfie, or take the 12-question quiz.
- Stand in north-facing daylight with a bare face.
- Compare white against cream to see your undertone.
- Compare gold against silver on the same skin.
- Compare a saturated fabric against a dusty one to read your chroma.
Those comparisons mirror the three dimensions the analysis scores, which keeps your result aligned with what you see in the mirror.

Results versus in-person draping
In-person draping places fabric under your chin with a consultant in the room, and each consultant sets their own price; one online tool's pricing page cites $150-300. The analysis here scores the same three dimensions from a selfie or the quiz and returns a season with a palette, makeup, hair and clothing notes. The Pro report at $4.99 delivers the wardrobe detail in a report you keep.
The Pro report adds 36 wardrobe colors with hex codes, your best metals and a printable report for your season.
